Aquino III, President of the Republic of the Philippines. Kayo ang Boss Ko sa Daang Matuwid (Aklat Bulawan, 2012), a collection of selected speeches by His Excellency Benigno S. He co-edited with Galileo Zafra two volumes on the development of the Filipino language, Sawikaan 2005 (University of the Philippines Press, 2006) and Ambagan 2011 (University of the Philippines Press, 2014). Some of his poems have been translated into English and Bahasa and anthologized in international publications such as The 35th Anniversary S.E.A.Write Award Anthology (2013), The Sounds of Asia (2011), The SEAWrite Anthology of ASEAN Short Stories & Poems (2008), Antologi Puisi dan Kemanusiaan (2004), and ASEANO: An Anthology of Poems from Southeast Asia (1995). He has two volumes of poetry, three storybooks for children, and a number of critical essays published in national and international journals such as Malay Indonesian Studies, Philippine Studies, Bulawan Journal of Philippine Culture and the Arts, Daluyan, and Unitas. He was admitted as an Associate at the Nida School for Translation Studies 2014 held at the Fondazione Universitaria San Pellegrino in Misano Adriatico, Italy. He is currently the Secretary General of the Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas (UMPIL) and the OIC-President of the Filipinas Institute of Translation (FIT). A multi-awarded poet, essayist, and literary translator, he received the Southeast Asian Writers (S.E.A.WRITE) Award from the Royalty of Thailand in 2007 and the Ani ng Dangal Award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in 2009. Horacio de la Costa Endowed Professorial Chair for History and Humanities. He is an Associate Professor in Filipino Literature, Creative Writing, and Literary Translation at the Department of Filipino, School of Humanities, Ateneo de Manila University where he holds the Rev. in Filipino from the University of the Philippines Diliman. in Literature from the Ateneo de Manila University, and Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Santo Tomas, M.A.
